Leader, Clinical Education and Special Projects

Angela Olsen works as the Lead, Clinical Education & Special Projects with Child Health BC. In this role she leads and promotes excellence in clinical education for CHBC initiatives. She also leads provincial projects particularly focused on opportunities for system improvement in the field of child and youth mental health services related to the Tiers of Service.  

Angela completed a Bachelor of Science & a Bachelor of Social Work at McMaster University and a Master’s of Social Work at the University of British Columbia. She worked clinically with children, youth & their families for 20 years in both community and acute care settings in Ontario, Prince Edward Island and British Columbia, and spent 16 years working in mental health programs at BC Children’s Hospital. Since 2016, Angela has been privileged to move into policy, education and projects where she leverages her clinical experience to make system level change.
